<aside> 📚 As a game art educator I spend a lot of time exploring resources that I think will benefit and help my students learn. While I take great pride in teaching them through my own content, I firmly believe that embracing the learning resources provided by the wider game art community is very beneficial. The resources that follow are what I consider to be the best game art learning resources of 2022. Whether you are learning through a university approach or taking a self-taught route, having quality learning materials to supplement your journey is super important. There are a wide variety of tutorials and resources out there ranging from what I would deem essential purchases, to things that I would suggest you avoid. This listing aims to guide people towards worthwhile investments of their time and money.

<aside> 🗃️ Some resources may be available in more than one location. For example something offered on Flipped Normals may also be available on ArtStation or Gumroad. It pays to shop around and look for the best deals. There is no affiliation between the listings here and the content developers, I have simply listed where I purchased the resource in most cases. In the interest of transparency I did receive some of the tools and resources on here for free, but that in no way impacted upon my judgement, some products received for free did not make it onto this list because they did not live up to my expectations and I felt there were better alternatives.
